Call for abstract

TOPCOM VII 2019 invites abstract submissions for poster presentations on your experiences and exciting cases. We look forward to receiving abstracts in any of these following areas of emergency medicine:
 Disaster medicine
 International and humanitarian emergency medicine
 Pre-hospital emergency care
 Trauma management
 Wilderness medicine

All abstracts must be submitted via email to by
Wednesday, 1st May 2019. 


Presenters of accepted abstracts must be registered and paid
for the TOPCOM VII Conference 2019.

  • Registration is compulsory for the author presenting the article at the PreConference OR Conference.


  • Accepted abstracts are only eligible for presentation after receiving full registration fees from the presenting author. Registration should be completed before 1st May2018. If the registration fees are not received by this date, it is assumed that the abstract is withdrawn.


  • All submissions should be ORIGINAL and have not been previously published.


  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author or group of authors may

Submission Guidelines

  • A structured abstract is preferred for empirical studies (i.e. Objective, Methods,
    Findings and Conclusions).
  • Poster dimension should be 90cm (width) x 120cm( height).
  • Poster tittle, author(s) name (s) and their affiliations should be included.
  • Poster should be readable from the distance of 6 feet ( 2 meters). Any suitable font
    may be used. Font size should be no smaller than approximately 24 point.
  • Please limit your abstract to less than 300 words under the following headings:
    – Introduction, objective, methods, results, conclusions for research
    – Introduction, case presentation, discussion and lesson learn for case
  • Define abbreviations at their first mention. Thereafter, abbreviations may be used
    freely. Standard abbreviations such as CXR, ECG, p-value < are allowed.
  • Failure to comply with these requirements may exclude the abstract from

Review & Acceptance

Receipt of abstract submission will be acknowledged via email.

All abstracts will be reviewed by an Abstract Review Committee on behalf of Scientific
Programme Committee.

Poster will be judged on the following criteria
 Originality of the concept
 Overall appearance
 Organization and flow
 Content and clarity
 Significance of findings

E-mail notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the corresponding author by
10 May 2019

All decisions made by the Abstract Review Committee are final.

A prize will be awarded for the top 3 posters at the final day of the conference.
